Mets Daily Offseason Update 11/14/17

The free agency frenzy will kick off soon, but in the mean time much has occurred across the major leagues today, especially with the Mets.

New Mets manager Mickey Callaway will aim to reduce Mets’ pitching injuries with analytics and research, reports Jon Harper of the Daily News.

The Mets are interested in signing a second baseman this winter, and start Asdrubal Cabrera at third, according to Anthony DiComo.

The Mets have shown interest in outfielder Lorenzo Cain and first baseman Carlos Santana, according to Jerry Crasnick and Jon Heyman, respectively.

In the Arizona Fall League, a couple of the Mets top prospects were in action today. Kevin Kaczmarski went 1 for 4 with a double, an RBI, and a run, while David Thompson went 2 for 4 with a double in a 6-5 loss to the Surprise Saguaros.
