2018 spring training

Mets Spring Training Pre-Game Report – 2/25/18

The Mets take on the Miami Marlins today at 1:10pm after losing to the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, 10-5.

Seth Lugo had a strong two of innings of work yesterday, allowing only one hit and striking out a batter. Luis Guillorme took a Bud Norris fastball to deep center in the fifth inning to give the Mets their lone home run of the game.

The Mets’ notorious injury bug has seemed to strike again. Juan Lagares and Jay Bruce are day-to-day with a strained left hamstring and plantar fasciitis, respectively, and Dominic Smith will be undergoing an MRI after suffering a strained right quad.

Robert Gsellman will get the start against Tyler Cloyd, with Jeurys Familia, A.J. Ramos, Jerry Blevins, Anthony Swarzak, and Rafael Montero coming in to relief.

The Mets starting lineup is shown below:

  1. Asdrubal Cabrera – 2B
  2. Yoenis Cespedes – DH
  3. Adrian Gonzalez – 1B
  4. Todd Frazier – 3B
  5. Kevin Kaczmarski – RF
  6. Travis d’Arnaud – C
  7. Matt den Dekker – CF
