Mets Spring Training Pre-Game Report – 3/8/18

The Mets take on the Nationals at 1:05pm today after losing to the Yankees, 11-4. Zack Wheeler had another strong outing, striking out four batters while only allowing four hits in three innings of work. Travis d’Arnaud hit a solo shot in the fourth inning off of Ben Heller.

Noah Syndergaard gets the start against Stephen Strasburg. Strasburg is coming off arguably his best season statistically, pitching a career-best 2.52 ERA and a career second best FIP of 2.72 and xFIP of 3.27.
