Mets Spring Training Pre-Game Report – 3/11/18

The Mets face the Houston Astros today at 1:10pm. The Mets come off of a 10-3 loss to the Yankees. Matt Harvey had a shaky outing, giving up five runs and six hits in 4.2 innings pitched while Jose Reyes went 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Jacob deGrom gets the start against Lance McCullers. McCullers has battled back problems throughout the 2017 season, going on the disabled list twice for back-related injuries. McCullers pitched well in the first half of the 2017 season by pitching for an ERA of 3.05 in 90 innings pitched before floundering in the second half by pitching for an ERA of 8.23.
