Mets Opening Day Pre-Game Report

The day that baseball fans have been waiting for all winter long is finally here, it is Opening Day. This is a time of year where each team has high hopes and any team that struggled last season has a clean slate. Most of the teams in the MLB will begin their 2018 seasons today, and so will the Mets as they take on the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:10pm.

Noah Syndergaard will start against RHP Carlos Martinez, who was an All-Star last season. Syndergaard hopes to bounce back from a 2017 season where he missed the majority of the year due to the injury and put up a Cy Young-worthy year.
