Mets Pre-Game Report – 4/7/18

After having the day off on Friday, the Mets hope to add on to their 3-game winning streak as they face the Washington Nationals at 1:05pm today. On Thursday, the Mets defeated the Nationals soundly, 8-2. The Amazins’ offense was powered by home runs from Yoenis Cespedes, Michael Conforto, and Jay Bruce in Thursday’s game.

Steven Matz will take the hill for the Mets in today’s game, he will start against Gio Gonzalez. Matz had a rough season debut, as he allowed three runs and two home runs in four innings pitched in a loss to the Cardinals on Easter Sunday.
